Mr. Kolcun served over 27 years at Microsoft -- the last 9 as VP U.S. Public Sector where he oversaw multi-billion dollars in sales growth. Mr. Wagoner served 10 years at SAIC – the last 4 as Sector President where he was responsible for SAIC's delivery of services and solutions across all global markets for an organization consisting of 13,500 engineers, technologists and specialists located worldwide.

Former Amazon Alexa Team Member, Kirk Owen, Joins XAPPmedia as VP of Business Development

XAPPmedia, the leader in interactive voice engagement for brands and media, today announced that Kirk Owen has joined the company as Vice President of Business Development. Mr. Owen most recently served as a senior business development manager for Amazon on the Alexa team. While at Amazon, Kirk worked with developers to bring Alexa skills to market for gaming, finance, retail, and media. Prior to Amazon, Owen served as General Manager of TotalCast for Capitol Broadcasting Company, served as CEO of Zenph, was an Executive Producer for The Walt Disney Company’s gaming division Playdom, and was co-founder and CEO of Merscom. He earned an undergraduate degree from Claremont McKenna College and an MBA from Duke University.

2017 Was the Year of the Smart Speaker, Voice Assistants and XAPPmedia

The biggest technology story of 2017 was clearly the rapid rise in smart speaker adoption and proliferation of voice assistant access into everyday appliances. XAPP quickly recognized the importance of this shift in consumer technology adoption for media organizations and brands.
